---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. PLANT EXPLORERPlant Explorer (PE) is a value-added information resource for an operating plant, where integrated, equipment-centric information on drawings, data sheets, vendor data and procedure manuals are maintained centrally in electronic form on a suitable computing environment. PE provides a convenient and fast information retrieval to the authorized users spread across an operating plant facilitating reduction in equipment downtime and improvement in productivity. Further, it also facilitates regular updates so that the plant information is readily available. The key features include:
2. REFINERY & PETROCHEMICAL MODELING SYSTEMS
LINEAR PROGRAMMING SOLUTIONS FOR
|
| Production planning | |
| Logistics and supply chain management | |
| Technology evaluation | |
| Sizing of plant units in grass-roots and expansion studies | |
| Feedstock selection |
This Linear Programming modeling system, with built in multi-time period, multi-plant modeling capability, is particularly well suited for long, medium and short term planning. It is one of the most widely used, heavy duty, LP planning system in the world and is readily able to solve the needs of this function as well as long range monthly planning in the HQ office.
Refiners and Petrochemical plants use this system for many different planning and scheduling functions such as the following:
· General Refinery Optimization
· Crude Oil Evaluation / Allocation
· Feedstock Evaluation
· Purchase / Sale / Trade Analysis
· Unit Severity Decisions (Reformer, FCC, etc)
· Transportation Analysis Between Plants
· Supply Allocation from Several Sources and to Several Uses
· Optimize Blending
· Distribution Optimization
The system can model Refineries and Petrochemical Plants of any size and complexity and can use different modeling techniques such as delta-based modeling, extreme-point modeling, quality-based modeling, distributive recursion, multi refinery modeling, multi period modeling, combined multi period/multi refinery modeling (not available in most other systems), and more. Hundreds of transportation links of different types such as rail, ship, pipeline and multiples of each can be modeled. There is no significant model row limit, process unit limit, or product limit.
There
is a Refinery Technology Database in conjunction with the above LP Modeling
System
The
Refinery Technology Database contains unit operation correlations, augmented
with utility data, physical property data, operating cost data, blending data
and product specifications. Users
construct and calibrate models from basic unit operations data contained in the
database. Data includes delta-feed quality yield correlations for most
conversion units, utility and investment data, intermediate product quality
data, and more. The database
contains all of the internal code to accurately simulate U.S. Clean Air
specifications, including NOX, Toxics, and VOC, as well as CARB gasoline.
The database contains LP model representations of more than 80 refinery
and petrochemical unit operations, including:
·
Reforming
(High and Low Psi, Semi-Regen and Continuous, Gasoline and BTX, Yields corrected
for Paraffins and Aromatics, Separate Benzene, Toluene, and Xylene precursor
corrections)
·
Isomerization

This system can process and manage all major crude oil properties and blending characteristics. It can work with your database or can be augmented with high quality assay libraries from other sources, such as, Chevron, BP, Petrofina, Phillips, and Haverly Systems.
It is easy to use and easy to connect to your planning package or other related applications and provides excellent ways to:
|
Manage assay libraries | |
|
Access and process any number of crude assays | |
|
Graphically smooth, extend and compare property curves | |
|
Add new crude assays | |
|
Adjust old assays | |
|
Accurately predict cut yields and properties using integration techniques | |
|
